About Me

If you are viewing this page it is probably because you would like to learn a little more about me, and who I am.
As you probably know, my name is Summer. I am a young woman trying to live my life for Christ in this sinful world.
God has given me a passion for health, gardening and farming, so a lot of my post topics will be based around those points. I also am blessed with an incredible family with four brothers, two sisters and amazing parents. I also have an awesome "adopted" big brother!
I have graduated from high school and am going to take Shonda Parker's Certified Family Herbalist course in the autumn. I just want to follow the path the Lord has chosen for me.
My goal in life is to first glorify God in everything I do (1 Cor. 10:31) and hopefully get married and have a family.
I have always loved animals, and still do. I spent six years of my life on a 21 acre farm in Missouri. It was a blueberry farm with over 300 plants. We also had 1/4 acre of asparagus, a garden, goats, a pony, chickens, ducks, dogs, cats...oh, and my bunny! :) we also had a creek running through the wooded part of our acreage.
We lived near a railroad. It was just past the woods and blueberry patch, depending on where you were on our land, and I loved to hear the train go by. Rumbling on its tracks. I still get fond memories when I hear one. I loved that land, and still miss it. I am a farm girl by nature, and it is hard for me to not live on a farm. We don't live in town now, and have 12 acres, but we are missing the animals. It was about six years ago that we moved from the berry farm. We had to give all my animals away except a couple cats, our two dogs and bunny.
Like I said, I love animals, but that does not mean I hate it when they get killed and eaten. I have no problem with butchering chickens for food. I just love the farm environment, as hard as the work can be. I have never owned a dairy cow, but would love to someday. We tried to milk our goats when we got them, but they weren't real friendly and would kick. We were not experienced at all with handling animals at that time, either.
So. With not having animals (besides our dogs) at this time, I am trying to work hard at my gardening. I enjoy it a lot, and love seeing everything grow.

I love music, and playing and teaching the violin is such a gift. I really would like to learn to play the piano also. Some things i enjoy are, cookin/baking, making jewelry, sewing, English country/contra dancing (even in the rain! :D), fishing, hunting, reading, learning, smiling, laughing...a lot, hanging out with friends, deep discussions, spending time with my family, reading God's Word and Worshipping the Lord. Not in that order, and I enjoy so many things I could never write the all down! :)

If you would like to know more you can get to know me! :)
